RESUMEN

Este artículo tiene como propósito exponer algunos de los resultados del estudio centrado en el funcionamiento de la Inspección Escolar en Cataluña y presentar algunos principios para fortalecer el trabajo de los inspectores en el ámbito de sus actividades profesionales.

Se reconoce que las tareas que realizan los inspectores como agentes de apoyo pueden influir en los procesos de mejora de la calidad de la educación escolar. Es decir, más allá de políticas educativas, se requiere de dispositivos, estrategias y recursos que ayuden a generar condiciones para que los servicios educativos fortalezcan sus capacidades para promover mejores y más efectivas prácticas profesionales.

ABSTRACT

 

This paper has a twofold purpose: one focused on the research outcomes of School Inspection running in Catalonia and the other centred on some principles for inspector's job strengthening within their professional activities.

It is known that tasks develop by inspectors, as support agents, can impact positively at school quality improvement. In other words, beyond educative policy, it is require mechanisms, strategies and resources that can help educative services to strengthen their capacities to promote better and effective professional practices.

RESUMEN

Presentamos la estrategia de estudio llevada a cabo para conocer el tratamiento, que en el currículo cubano y en la práctica educativa de la Educación Física en la Educación obligatoria, tiene la Expresión Corporal, en la provincia de Cienfuegos (Cuba). El objeto central del mismo consistió en analizar e interpretar el cuestionario presentado, complementando a través de la indagación en el significado que tienen para los docentes, diferentes aspectos ligados a los resultados de los cuestionarios: percepciones, actitudes, representaciones y opiniones. Esto significa que se procuró enriquecer los análisis cuantitativos con cualitativos basados en grupo de discusión y con el estudio de documentos normativos. Presentamos los resultados en función de la consecución de los objetivos del estudio, comparando y complementando los datos estadísticos con las indagaciones en el significado, presentando algunas citas textuales de los mismos, así como aportando los datos del estudio del marco normativo, finalizando con una exposición de los resultados mas importantes y concluyendo con la reflexión sobre las ventajas del uso de técnicas combinadas.

ABSTRACT

This article covers the investigation strategy which is carried out through a multi-method design. The investigation's aim consists of knowing the way Corporal Expression is treated in the Cuban Curriculum and in the field of Physical Education in actual practice in the province of Cienfuegos, Cuba. The work of the investigation is a quantitative study. The main aim consists of analyzing and interpreting the questionnaire that is used, also investigating the meaning thereof to teachers/professors and the different aspects from the results of the questionnaires: perceptions, attitudes, representations, opinions. This means it tries to enrich the quantitative analysis with a qualitative analysis that is based on a Focus group and on studying the applicable regulation. The combination of approaches allows the study of the subject from different angles, and in a significant/integral way. We present the results based on attaining the objectives of the study, comparing the statistic data with the investigation of the obtained qualitative data, as well as combine the data from the study of the regulation, presenting the most important results and concluding with some comments on the advantages of the use of combined techniques.
